After a long time, Physiotherapy is becoming a hot topic in Nagpur. Overall in India,
not a lot of importance was given to the topic of rehabilitation. Most of the times,
Physiotherapy was even considered optional even by the Surgeons and Doctors. But
fortunately, that trend is rapidly changing and Physiotherapy is a buzz word now a
days in this part of the world too. It is being used not only as a post operative
treatment plan but also in different areas of life too.
Sports Physiotherapy is one such upcoming field. A lot of emphasis is also being
given to Yoga after Honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi successfully
called upon the international community to embrace the practices of this ancient
Indian way of life. International Yoga Day is just the start of using Yoga for
exercise, mind and body relaxation techniques and hence Physiotherapy coupled
with Yoga is what we harp on about at The Life Rehab Clinic, Nagpur.
Yoga definitely is very helpful as a treatment option in addition to rehabilitation
exercises. As mind and body relaxation techniques such as Pranayama are a major part
of Yoga, other aspects of rehabilitation like Occupational Therapy are also receiving
a boost with their use.
A lot of times people confuse Occupational Therapy with just counselling and hence
believe it's not as useful as Psychological counselling. However developmental disorders
such as Autism and Cerebral Palsy are helping spread awareness about the impact
Occupational Therapy can bring about in these people's lives in and around Nagpur.
Myofascial trigger points, also known as trigger points, are described as hyperirritable
spots in the fascia surrounding skeletal muscle. They are associated with palpable nodules
in taut bands of muscle fibers. Compression of a trigger point may elicit local
tenderness, referred pain, or local twitch response.
Dr. Mrs. Swati Kher was born and brought up in Nagpur and received her Bachelors

working in Nagpur for around 2 years in different settings, she migrated to USA

American OTs) for practising her craft there.
Dr. Swati Kher has worked in various fields ranging from School system (Orange County,
FL headstart program and Handwriting without tears) to Nursing Homes servicing eldery
population in the states of Florida, Tennessee and Arkansas.
After coming back to India, Swati Kher started "The Life Rehab Clinic" where she has chosen to
take a more holistic view for pain management and hence Yoga with Mind Body Techniques and
breathing exercises like Pranayama is what she now focuses on more.
Mrs. Swati Kher encourages her patients to live life to the fullest.
